On May 11, 2021, in Paris, the results of the multi-month testing and tasting with a specific protocol were announced, where more than 400 olive oils from all over the world participated, and met the specifications of "AVPA GOURMET World Edible Oils 2021".

Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms were honored with an exquisite triple award in an equal number of entries at the culinary competition "AVPA GOURMET World Edible Oils 2021". In detail:



These highly honorary awards for Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms are a unique Greek achievement, at the first time of their participation in this gourmet competition. In the 19 years of the competition, it is the first time that Greek olive oils and in fact from the same producer, are at the top of the "AVPA GOURMET World Edible Oils 2021", while being the only ones honored with a gold award to date, in their category.

These exceptional awards in Paris, accompanied by the highly honorary reviews of the tasters of "AVPA GOURMET World Edible Oils 2021", complete the 253 international awards for Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms, a unique record number of global awards for a Greek producer (Single Estate - Terroir) who produces exclusively its own olive products.Every May, the heart of international gastronomy and top quality food beats in Paris, in the "Mecca of high gastronomy" and in the famous - yet very demanding culinary competition, "AVPA GOURMET", which evaluates and awards the best quality products of the world, including olive oils.

The main reason for the very high degree of difficulty of "AVPA GOURMET" is that it awards very few samples from all the entries, and in fact, this percentage does not exceed 5% in all categories, while the gold prize usually is given only to 1 in every 200 samples.

The internationally renowned olive oil tasting competition "AVPA GOURMET World Edible Oils 2021" took place in Paris, and its judges are mainly French-speaking professionals of the genre, renowned prestigious chefs, sommeliers, special journalists and gourmet – fine food tasters.

As the main exponents of the well-known French cuisine, the judges evaluate according to a specific protocol, all the olive oil samples with very strict criteria, which are part of the French philosophy. After all, French cuisine has been considered to have the most elegant and unusual flavors in the world and has been an inspiration and point of reference, influencing many global cuisines.

The famous "AVPA GOURMET" maintains a permanent relationship with more than 10,000 producers from 50 countries around the world and today has about 1000 active members on 5 continents. It is essentially the link between the producers of high quality food and the experts of gastronomy of the famous French cuisine and Fine Dining, recognizing the importance of the concepts of Terroir and origin.
